Val d’Argent Equestrian Centre was established by Brian Silvia in 1992 following acquisition of an initial 41 acre property purchased in Wilderness Road, Rothbury; and an adjoining 5 acre property that was purchased in 1996. For a time there was a further adjoining 26 acre property, making in all a total of 72 acres.
We offer a wide range of agistment from herd and paddock. Stables are available on request. Depending on your agistment option, your horse will either have its own yard or will mix with other privately owned horses during their time at Val d’Argent Equestrian Centre. With herd agistment each paddock contains a maximum of 10 horses.
All paddocks are fenced with horse safe fencing, either being rural plain wire or post and rail with access to our improved pastures, ample natural shade or shelter and water. Manure is removed from small paddocks daily and harrowed in large paddocks weekly. If you do wish to access your horse during the week please contact our staff, so that you may access any horses held in a herd environment.
